There are moments in life when certain themes quietly return to us.
Not as repetitions, but as new chapters. A feeling, a shape, a colour, or an idea suddenly reappears, carrying traces of what came before while becoming something entirely new—further developed, or even the same matter seen from a different angle.
The current untitled oil pastel detailed in this article emerged in exactly that way. There was no plan to revisit earlier motifs or continue a particular story. Yet, while the work was taking shape, familiar threads began to surface on their own. One morning you just wake up and follow those feelings, and voilà.
As artists, we often discover that some images never truly leave us. They remain somewhere beneath the surface, waiting for the right moment to return in a different form.
I chose not to explain this piece or offer a guide to its meaning. Instead, I prefer to leave space for personal feelings and discoveries. Perhaps you will see something entirely different from what another viewer sees, and that openness is part of the work itself.
And for those who have been following my journey from the beginning, you may recognize a connection between this piece and earlier works.
If you do, you are not mistaken.
